Kylan Daugherty (Telemachus2814)

First off I want to say that this movie is very different to the books. It changes a lot of things, and in fact sortof combines the plots of the first and second books. It is true that Artemis was more a normal kid in this movie than the books, Domovoi was a different Ethnicity, Juliet wasn't his sister, Artemis Fowl Senior was in the picture, Holly Short was white and Commander Root was Female.... but as a series long fan of the franchise I don't care, they were all great choices. Now then, I LOVED THIS MOVIE! Yes, it wasn't everything I wanted... but my god, to finally see it all realized on screen was awesome! There was not a moment in the entire movie where I was disappointed. I have seen people complaining about, specifically, Domovoi's actor Nonso Anozie and citing that it played into several stereotypes such as the black servant et cetera. The book character is stated as being Eurasian and looking like he would be as comfortable in Russia as he would in Japan. But here's another idea for why mister Anozie was chosen: PERHAPS HE WAS JUST THE BEST ONE TO PLAY THE ROLE! That's my take on it anyway. I love this movie and I hope they make more like it.
