To start with, this is an underrated film. It shows the brilliance of RDJ, Mr. Duvall's phenomenal acting skills and a fine story. This film basically revolves around the story of a father who is the Judge of Indiana for 42 years, and his middle son, Hank Palmer, who is a famous international criminal lawyer. The movie precisely portrays the conflict between the father and his middle son(the judge's most hated son) but at the same time it shows an interesting bond between the father and his son. When Judge Palmer is charged with a hit and run case and intentional murder of a man, its his middle son, Hank Palmer who fights the case for his father trying to save him. The father-son duo is shown amazingly on screen. Very interesting topic, and a must watch for everyone.
