I’m very knowledgeable about DID, or multiple personalities . This film totally distorts the reality of this condition. DID is a dissociative disorder arising from severe abuse and torture. Many people with this condition have been lifelong victims of child abuse, sexual abuse, rape and domestic violence. I’ve never met a single DID patient who was a terrible criminal. Usually, DID patients are the victims of terrible criminals. Tell that story. It would be compelling and creepy but something real. Filmmakers have the power to tell a real, deep and compelling story about this condition. Contact an expert like myself. The truth is scarier than this total fiction.
