I took my family to see this and our expectations were high. Unfortunately it was worse than what we expected. To sum it up, we were just bored. There were too many songs that were all very forgettable. The story kind of kept dragging on with a predictable ending and the one surprise at the end was very anticlimactic. And while there was some funny parts, overall it just tried too hard. Even my 10 year old daughter who is a big Moana fan was like “meh”.

Taking a legendary classic and slapping it around with today’s trends and agendas is a recipe for disaster. It’s like Willow drank too much Dawson’s Creek at a party and threw up this new series in the toilet that is Disney +. The acting is forced and awkward, the feel is completely off, and the constant bombardment of woke agendas is exhausting.

What did I just watch? I was literally so board that I decided to write the reviews during the movie. Woke agenda meets poor movie making to bring us the cliche, unfunny, poor representation of a great ride. The lost storylineg distracts itself like it has ADHD and is hyped up on pixie stix. I honestly can't tell if the acting is bad or if the terrible writing just made it seem that way. No character development, no chemistry between the lead rolls, cringe worthy accents (that seem to change), excessive CGI, make this a complete waste of money and time. I can't believe that they brought in the terrible Pirates of the Caribbean like monsters, the tough woman hero, the weak emasculated brother who can't handle any bit of adventure. It's just awful at every turn. I was so looking forward to this movie. Disney has lost it's magic.
