It's not the zombie survival you get from games like day z or others like it but that's not a bad thing. Dying light is a game you can pick up and learn the mechanics and get pretty good at it within an hour and continue to grind experience points to level up for better weapons and abilities like camouflage or the grappling hook. Yes there are guns in the game and yes you can use them shooter beware firing attracts more and more infected and ammo is hard to find. Granted you can buy most ammo a trader locations it is still beneficial to use guns on just the bad guys with guns. For quiet range attacks I suggest using a bow, crossbow, or silenced pistol. Also the DLC's for this game is great. Iij bought this digital version of the game not long after it came out and it's now 2020 and I'm still playing it. There's nothing better than slicing a zombies head off with a katana after having a bad day
