Kathy Bates is a good actress but even she cannot save this poorly written show with a dumb premise and misleading title. Matlock it is NOT! That show was written well. This one just isn't. The success of the original Matlock was a combination of believable, well written scripts and taking advantage of the actors' unique skills. The new Matlock does not take advantage of the actors' talents but tries to squeeze them into ridiculous plot lines and cutesy dialogue. It could have been so good, but just isn't! I really wanted to like it, but . . .

The only thing wrong with this series is everything! Ridiculous scripts, poor casting, poor acting, horrible wardrobes, bad directing.

Insults one's intelligence. Poorly written, poorly acted, and, no, I will not waste my time watching future episodes!

Halfway through the first episode, big yawn! Don't think Brilliant Minds has a brilliant future.

I just watched this for the first time on TV and loved it. It was fun and action packed, a kid's movie that adults can get caught up in. Emily Blunt and Dwayne Johnson were great and had perfect chemistry. The visual effects were stunning. I'm a senior citizen now but this movie took me back to my youth when we saved our pennies to spend Saturday afternoons at the movie theater watching cinematic thrillers.

This series is a big bore! A little bit of Elsbeth goes a long way! The scripts are predictable, and definitely not funny. The characters are out of a comic strip. I had high hopes for the series but I won't be watching it again. I'd rather watch reruns of Law and Order SVU.

I had high hopes for this film after reading some of the reviews but I found it so boring I quit watching after about 30 minutes into it. Just not my cup of tea.

I have watched SVU for years and have always been a fan of Olivia, but not so much of Stabler. In fact I have enjoyed the program so much more since he left as the show was focused on a strong woman who did a very difficult job with compassion and effectiveness. The rest of the SVU cast has been great. I never thought Olivia and Elliott would or should get together romantically. Nor get together at all on a show after he left. After seeing tonight's show with them back together and how old and haggard both of them now look, he dragging her down and she letting him, I probably won't be watching SVU much any more. I haven't liked Law and Order Int'l and don't watch it. I think It's probably time that both SVU and Int'l are retired. Sorry Mariska. I like you, but think Stabler and the writers are not doing you or SVU any favors!

So, so glad that Ken Jennings is back as MC. Please keep him as such permanently. I don't watch Jeopardy at all when you put in the woman. She's terrible as a host and so impressed with herself! Ken is professional, likeable and adds his quirky, appealing touch to the job.

I used to really like this show but the writers seem to have run out of good material and the last few shows have been weird junk. Not interested in watching any more. Wasn't this series scheduled to end? I think it probably should have when the note was high.
