Well, this was surprising. I certainly didn't expect to tear up! The trailer made the movie seem like a comedy and while there are funny bits, it's a story about never losing your inner child. Not aimed at young kids, more for 10 years and up. And try not to be logical about it, the movie is called Imaginary Friends after all.

I don't know why critics have panned this, it was a lovely story about how a person deals with the knowledge that she can't grow old with someone, and how she navigates through life because of this. (I'm not going to reveal the ending.) Blake Lively was great in this role, I'm not sure if anybody else could have pulled it off.

Fun brainless entertainment to keep your mind off whatever it is you're trying not to think about for around 90 minutes. There are amusing moments, sweet scenes and plenty of action. Reynolds carries the film well as does Bridges. Bacon shows his usual swagger and Parker is under utilised. Keep your expectations low.

I started watching on a whim and was hooked. Casting Tom Ellis as Lucifer was the perfect choice, I can't imagine anyone else playing that role. There are multiple story arcs running in addition to the standalone episodes and while that could make for confusing viewing this show deftly handles them all. Lauren German plays Chloe Decker brilliantly with conviction, however DB Woodside's performance as Amenadiel is a little lacklustre - there's not much going on with that character so far (am in the middle of season 2). If you are hoping for an accurate police procedural you will be disappointed. But if you are after some good banter, action and relationships give this series a go.

If you're looking for drama and you like guessing who's going to be eliminated well then this show isn't for you. If you like docudramas or the masterclass episodes of MasterChef then School of Chocolate will be just your thing. Nobody gets eliminated and I really really like that. Some may say that makes it less interesting but honestly it takes away unnecessary stress and competition. It might be called School of Chocolate but the students also learn about team work, how to manage others, how to unlearn habits they've developed in their professional careers and how to think laterally when creating show pieces using nothing but chocolate. One thing I don't like is that Amaury gets the students to vote when there's a tie - he should be the tie breaker and make an executive decision.
