Phenomenal acting. Insane. The plot was...more complicated. It’s the definition of torture porn, and was trying to be too many things at once. The storyline was patchy, but it’s hard to hate a script when it’s carried out by some of the generations best actors. I do have a bias because I love tom holland and ciara bravo, but they really did make the best out of a script that started out great and ended terribly. Their portrayal of drug addicts was so painful and well done, it was hard to watch. Sadly...that’s was the only positive aspect of the movie. By the end, the little sympathy you have for the characters is almost completely gone. Tom holland’s progression of ptsd was written well, but the message became muddied by the screaming, shooting, unnecessary violence and crying. It makes me sad to leave a bad review, because I had such high hopes for this movie. I wish they had focused more on mental health and less on shock-level, it really would have saved it.
