If you came here to see a space daring action adventure you’ll be disappointed. This isn’t an action movie. This isn’t a Star Wars or star treck this movie is a character study. It’s all about Roy Harper. It’s about his issues and life and how it relates to his father and the actions of his father. If you want to give this movie a bad review for being slow or boring you have to take a step back. This movie doesn’t want you to cling to the edge of your seat. It wants to guide you on a more realistic space adventure about real people and the impact of relationships on individuals. Don’t hate this movie for being so good at being what it wanted to be.

Peele's Us is more a thriller than a horror and the themes are layered, meaningful and deep, yet do not come and force themselves down your throat. The film has a core message exploring humanity, the soul, and family and the cast elegantly portrays these themes.
