I feel as though all these negative reviews are more about the critics trying to put this movie in a box (and maybe some personal racist issues) rather than letting it stand alone. It's about a struggling loving family that has flaws, it's about loss and grief, and how each family member deals with all of these things individually. It's done beautifully, no loose ends. The focus was completely on the family members; not to tell the storyline of Peter Pan or Alice in Wonderland, a-gain (we know those stories). Real life issues with imagination and fairy dust running thru it. If you're distracted you may miss something so watch the movie. 😉
It may be, that this movie will have children asking relevant questions about life, for God sakes have a real conversation with your children when they do ask. To all the people who live 100% perfect lives this movie may not be for you but if you're a human being with a heart, soul and mind, you'll most likely get this movie. Kudos to the all the wonderful actors, casting was perfect and screenplay was beautifully written.
