Vanderwall was amazing for her film debut. She sold the part of Stargirl with nothing left to spare, in this heartwarming story of a new girl at school who causes those she comes in contact with to rethink what it means to be an individual of value. The theme was brought out in a 2-liner to the effect of "We're not happy because we win. We win because we're happy."
