Absolutely top notch in every way. I was completely gripped throughout and extremely glad that well written, acted, cast and directed tv series have not become a thing of the past as I feared. Highly recommend and can't wait for series 2!

Absolutely loving this series. Reminds me of Preacher but not quite as freaky. Bacon and the rest of the cast are good and his mum is hilarious. If you liked Preacher and Constantine you will probably enjoy this.

Good storylines, cast, script and acting all of which are becoming increasingly rare these days.

I have only watched the first episode but am hooked. The premise is not new but the cast, script, acting and direction are impressive enough to raise the bar. A cross between’The Name of The Rose and Game of Thrones in tone and atmosphere with a healthy dose of Shakespeare (Macbeth, Richard III etc.) thrown in.

I’m up to episode three and am hooked. It takes a lot to pull me into a tv drama and this one succeeded from the first episode. Decent premise, script, direction and acting. Thank you ITV.

Just too sprawling and hung up on the politics of the time for me. I fast forwarded through some of it. The role of Oppenheimers wife was under used as was that of his lover, in my view. I’m not sure what audience Nolan was attempting to capture/entertain/inform here but for me there was nothing new. The characters were cliched to the point of clumsy caricature, the dialogue not far behind. What a waste of sterling acting talent and the opportunity to present a world and life changing event in history that can never be undone. Oppenheimer just happened to come first in a race that started with the dawn of humanity.

Just awful. Great cast, terrible script and a premise that it is impossible to suspend disbelief of. Typical itv drama which promises much but then fails to deliver. There is always a flaccid element involved with itv that turns what should be excellent television into mediocre viewing. Horowitz is overrated into the bargain anyway and this effort confirms that. Definitely not worth tolerating the inane advertisements in order to pursue.

Timeless and brilliant. As funny, fresh and enjoyable now as it was on release 32 years ago. A classic.
