Poppy Seed

I liked the first season, but it is a cringy show. It's entertaining and all, however it's not realistic. The characters say things and do things that teenagers don't usually do in real life. All the characters are somewhat relatable, the only problem is Devi, she's very basic and boring. The only three things you could say about Devi is that she's acting up on her strict mom (just like any other teenager), she's Indian and she's school smart (I really wish she would be smart in normal life, but then the show wouldn't exist). Literally every other character has some depth, but not Devi. Hope the second season will be better.

At first I was intrigued. The concept is very interesting. However, the authors totally ruined it for me. I was expecting the main character to do more and more mess which would lead him to getting caught. It would be such an interesting detective/thriller. But man, oh man, somebody decided it would be a great idea to turn it into a "teenage love story" show. The show romanticized the murderer so much that at the end you even want to support him, because from his view killing is the only option he has. And even in terms of some romance it seemed to me that the authors didn't know how to make the show longer, so they decided to add a bunch of water. I've decided not to watch season 2
