If one reads this book purely as an erotic read,then one is entirely off track.It is a love story between two people from different strata of society,the lady belonging to nobility and the man from the working class..There is a lot of beautiful writing in the book apart from the erotic part,(which part to my mind was not as well portrayed and embarrassing at times)

It is a work of genius,a touching story of the outcasts of French society during the French revolution.Deeply humanistic account of the lives of Jean Valjean,Cossette,Fantine and others.Does Jeal Valjean get justice?The end is heartrending.A must read.

Very interesting movie and very well enacted.Dev Patel was great in his role of abductor and killer(?).His eyes spoke volumes.We don't lose sympathy for him throughout the movie and he touches your heart in the end when the girl leaves him.

A must watch film.A deeply emotional insight into the lives of the youth of today's aspirational India.There are two parallel stories here,a young woman educated and independent belonging to a lower middle class family coming to terms with the harsh realities of life and a young man trying to get over his lost love.Both meet at the very end of the movie with optimism in their hearts for a brighter tomorrow.
