A beautiful story presented with heartwarming sweetness. Has the right amount of comedy, a bit of suspense and some great take aways. Glad to see that such films are still being made which rely on the craft and not on a star studded cast. Limited use of music that goes with the story and finally no dances. Overall a great experience.

A very loud yet hollow film. Tries to imitate the Money Heist robbery by linking the motive to a higher purpose but the execution is extremely pathetic. It struggles to be funny and at the same time is extremely violent for no apparent reason. The lead character has super human strength as you can expect from any south indian movie of this genre but it hardly suits his age and attire. Pretty much every scene is debatable but to keep it short, you are much better off without watching this .

So my main motivation to watch the film were the songs. Off course they didn’t disappoint. As far as the film is concerned, i have a mixed feeling about it. Shahid Kapoor gave a very solid performance with all the madness and different looks that he managed to pulled off. The first half and the second one look like a completely different movie altogether. Be it the tempo, the filming, the storyline or the characters. All the build up in the first half washes down in an overly stretched post interval sequence. Loved the time manipulation in the first half where present and past were going hand in hand. The makers gave that up later on. The “anger management” thing which i think was the core issue here fizzled out towards the end. I liked the way Shahid’s character was built up but then again alcohol consumption, drug use, smoking etc were dragged unnecessarily at many points. The story remained unpredictable till the very last, so ill give that to the makers. Overall a nice one time watch 7/10 Mujtaba
