From race, to class, to sex, gender, and sexual orientation—this show raises a multitude of complex issues and poses many unanswered questions that leave you wanting more. The show also makes you grapple with your beliefs as you find yourself rooting for a character in one episode and hating them the next. For example, **SPOILER ALERT**, to desire a certain outcome in the custody case, you have to define what makes a parent worthy of raising a child. Is it the ability to connect culturally with the child? Is it the ability to provide a certain quality of life? Is it being biologically related to the child? What does who you sympathize with (Bebe vs adoptive parents) say about your values?
Like real-life humans, the characters have depth and mystery. You find yourself wondering why the characters do the things they do and then you get a glimpse into their past and it all makes sense.
The storytelling is superb. The acting is amazing. And the plot is (mostly) believable. In short, I enjoyed it and found it worth my time.
