When I finished this game I had never played the original on gameboy or gameboy color, but honestly, this is my favorite 2d zelda game and for me beats a link to the past. Just beat it the night before typing this... I was up till 3:30 am... I was completely hooked, no pun intended. This is also a great start for anyone wanting to try the Legend of zelda.
