I hated 'The Last Jedi' but liked 'The Force Awakens', 'Solo' and 'Rogue One' so went into this with an open mind and didn't take any notice of the early reviews. I wanted this so badly to be great but it sadly it isn't . The episode has no sense of direction and feels rushed but saying that, the runtime seems too long. It's the first time I've seen a Star Wars audience looking at their watches. The plot is thin and the whole movie seems like an excuse to bring back familiar characters from the past just to try to please die hard fans. The Finale is just let down after the build up of the story. Again, It just doesn't work. After the failure of 'The Last Jedi' you would have thought Disney would have taken more care, especially after all the money they gave Lucas for the rights and got this right for the fans and go out with a Bang. Instead they produced a below average movie but will of course make billions of Dollars in profit from merchandise by stamping the Star Wars logo on the side. Though the movie isn't a total disaster (or is it?) . There are some nice nods along the way but most fans (and be honest with yourself) will see this a let down.
