I truly enjoyed this film. Call me silly, but I like predictable “boy meets girl. Girl hates boy. Boy redeems himself. Happily ever after” movies. As for the accents, get over yourselves. It’s a silly Christmas Movie, not a great drama eye roll) and contrary to those who lament the Brooke Shields character buying a castle, you clearly missed the part where she quickly becomes part of the community. She does her friends’ hair, joins the knitting circle and seems to be a genuinely likable character. I thought the film was fun, campy, entertaining.
