An excellent film, and often overlooked 80's action movie. With great acting, fast pacing, and a gritty, realistic tone unusual for the time, it is unpredictable, stylish, and thoughtful. Great soundtrack, set against the unmistakable backdrop of L.A in the 1980's. The team behind Lethal Weapon clearly watched this film first; William Peterson's character (Richard Chance) is the original loose cannon LA detective living on the very edge of sanity, death, and the law. This movie also has one of the most epic car chases in movie history - no CGI, and it took 6 weeks to shoot - plus its mostly William Peterson driving! Highly recommend to any action movie fan, and everyone with a sense of 80's nostalgia!
