Overall, this game has smooth mechanics and a fast, fun pace that deserves a sizable recognition, but has ample room for improvement to even come close to the big guys like the Soulsborne installments.
Graphics: Nice, but some visuals seemed rushed in the boss fights, often different angles for one boss has the player struggling to even see movements to fairly time parry's or dodges. Not a lot of thought put into common enemies. But the protagonist is nice looking.
Sound: Repetitive music and basically no dialogue from the characters. Everything is subtitles. A few boss fight tracks are nice, some annoying. All of this made me think this was rushed into production.
Gameplay:
Fun, different weapons and abilities to keep you intrigued. But game is short...way too short...another sign of rushed production. This hurts replay value, imo.
Controls: smooth...almost too smooth at times during dodges...feeling like I'm on an ice rink at times. It can be annoying..lock-on helps...but hurts at times. Could be better.
Storyline: Not really impressive. Lacking any deep storytelling.
It's worth 20 bucks. Not much more
