The movie's plot had promise but was a huge letdown as it didn't make any sense. Introducing each character with a side story to show how they are all interrelated in the movie was pointless. All that it accomplished was to provide more characters that could participate in the gore at the end of the movie. The aunt was suppose to be very ill and was a witch that put a spell on 17 children so they would come to her home. Her reason....they may be able to "help her." We never see how they were suppose to help her as she just has them standing in the basement. Her nephew is in charge of feeding them soup every day along with his parents that are also under her spell. This movie is so stupid that I can't believe a studio bought the transcript and that the actors agreed to be in it. Ridiculous movie and a huge waste of time.

The costumes and scenery was awesome. I loved The Planet of the Apes movies when I was a kid so I was looking forward to this movie. I was disappointed as I felt the storyline was weak and needed more substance. So many confusing random scenes that did not make any sense then did not elaborate on what happened or what the point is? It just fell short and I would of liked it to tie in more closely with the original movies.

Too predictable and ridiculous. A couple of the scary scenes were pretty good but overall a waste of money and time.

I had high hopes for this movie. The cinematography was fabulous as was the singing and dancing. I knew this movie was not a continuum of the original but thought it was suppose to be a "reimagined" version of the original. Such as what if Nettie had never been sent away or what if Celie had been allowed to keep her children. How would the story have unfolded? Instead it was a remake of the original with ALOT of singing and choreographed dance numbers. I enjoyed the movie but was disappointed that it wasn't a continuum which would of made it much more interesting. I thought it missed its mark being made as a movie but would of been perfect for live theater. I love singing and dancing but thought there was way too much in this movie. I love the original movie and found all of its main characters to be much more believable. Their acting was so spot on that I felt totally drawn in and could really feel their emotions where the 2nd version leaves me feeling more like a spectator. The new version is worth seeing but again I think a "remake" was pointless when the original was perfection.

I'm on the 4th show in Series 1 and so far think this show is boring and quite frankly sucks. I'm going to watch it a little longer to see if it gets any better as the other reviewers have given it high ratings. I also do not like most of the actresses as their acting is pretty amateur. The one that plays Ruth is the most annoying, and it's a mystery how she was ever cast on the show let alone the lead.

I loved this movie it us the best I really like the show a lot I was hoping the would make a movie I was so happy.

The buzz lightyear movie was extremely disappointing and boring. I expected the storyline to be more interesting but it was space theme the entire time, and the scenes didn't vary much. I kept waiting for it to get better, which never happened so it became a painful experience waiting it out. The animation was top notch but the 3D effects sorely lacked. We kept waiting for an interesting character to reach out to us or things to look like they were directly coming at us. I had told my grandkids how cool 3D is and some of the things I had seen from past movies so I had high expectations this being a Disney movie. I couldn't believe how underused the 3D effects were and when used how disappointing they were. We walked out about half way through the movie. Waste of money and time.
