While I've had the pleasure of seeing a plethora of religious films in my lifetime, all of which were really good experiences with maybe the exception of one or two, and I think we would all agree they are designed to spark interest and conversation been humans when it comes to the topic of God as well as provide a little information and entertainment along the way. That being said I absolutely loved the film. I think it made a clear point to come at the audience on the concept and perspective of God from a significantly different angle than any other religious movie based on God that I've ever seen. It also picked up very quickly where most films start out from a snail's pace and it maintained it's intensity and pace at that level for the most part throughout the remainder of the film all while finding a way to keep you frantically anticipation nearly every scene. I'd give it a Siskel and Ebert sized "Two-Thumbs Up!!". Needless to say I would absolutely recommend this movie to anyone who enjoys watching well written and enjoyable movies!!!

I don't know what everybody is talking about and maybe I just enjoy plain old dumb stupid humor but I personally thought this movie was hilarious. as far as comedies go it's easily in my top five funniest comedies of all time. I think the problem here is the type of humor displayed in a Will Ferrell and John c Reilly movie is a different special kind of humor then the kind you see in most movies. That's why I truly believe as far as this movie goes when it comes to writing a review there is no in the middle, you either enjoy that kind of humor and loved it or don't understand why people find those kinds of things funny and hated it. So I guess what I'm saying is I enjoy that kind of humor so I loved it. In fact I would give it three thumbs up if I had 3 !!!
