I’ve played enough to get a feel for the game and do a review on it. First off, I have completed FC1 and 2. And I gotta say, FC3 is out of this world! Not even gonna compare FC1 cause it was very different and developed by a different studio. FC2 was a beautiful game, but had alot of issues. Main character never talked, was annoying not having fast travel and every corner, you are getting shot at, which felt very repetitive. And the story itself just felt meh. The malaria thing was annoying and the weapons would degenerate which was annoying. Lots of plot holes and ending kinda sucked. Most missions you just running around all over Africa shooting people, just had no personality to it. Now compare that to FC3 and man oh man. What a huge improvement. They took all the flaws from FC2 and fixed them in the third installment. And the main character talks! The storyline is so much better. Lots of side missions and love that you can craft and upgrade the character. I’ll admit, the side quests are kind of repetitive though, and if you really wanna upgrade and have better capacity in your gear you need to do them at least some. You can spend hours and hours playing this game easily. I can see why the third installment really upped the franchise and gave notice and brought life to it. Once I’m done with this game I’ll move on to game 4. Looking forward to the rest of the main series of games and the spinoffs. My friend said his favorite is blood dragon. So I’ll have to check that out soon as well.

Very different than the first one. Much improvements but there is huge flaws. Main character doesn’t speak, storyline is kind of all over the place. Game can seem repetitive. Just driving around all over Africa getting to missions while being stopped every corner and shot at. I think they should have done a speed transport option and a better job with navigating the map like an actual arrow you follow especially when I don’t feel like stopping every 10 seconds cause people trying to shoot me at every corner, and getting lost and making wrong turn where you trying to go while being shot at is no fun. also with the guns they don’t mark them so you at the ammo place it doesn’t tell you what it is you just have to be a gun expert and know each one. Getting malaria pills is annoying and having an episode while shooting at enemies or driving is even worse. And of course the infamous gun jamming/blowing up if used too much. Even when constantly swapping new ones at the shop and upgrades I still had issues with it. But with all the flaws this game is still impressive. Beautiful scenery. Love the hands on combat is much better than first installment. Plus this is open world, although it’s not perfect it is the first one for the series so I will let it slide. The healing process is much better than last game. And the saving checkpoints are an improvement. Also the fire actually spreads. Cool, that there’s new characters and you can pick and choose. And throughout the game you do get buddies and there is side quests as well. I do like the freedom to pick and choose throughout the game although it’s light on the outcomes, still nice to have little more freedom compared to last game. Overall it was a fun game and much easier than the previous game. Wasn’t perfect, but still very enjoyable. Can’t wait for FC3 which I heard is even better.
