I’m not really sure what the developers were thinking with this game. Sure, it’s pretty, but there isn’t much else I’d high five them over. The graphics are worse than the last two games, there’s so little about this game that’s assassin-y (this is just a game about stereotypical blood-thirsty smash and crash Vikings), and the mechanics are terrible. I’ve played the past 5 games over and over and loved them all, but I can’t for the life of me get into this one. It took everything I loved about what made Assassin’s Creed great and flushed it down the toilet. A reviewer below likened the rations and stamina aspect of the game to chores, and that’s exactly what it feels like. There’s so little I love about this one, which makes me sad. I truly adored the last few but this one is a huge miss.
