The plot becomes very confusing and hard to follow. Each of them seem to have these memories or mental experiences which they refer to as 'tucked away'. So what's really happening and what isn't, becomes impossible to determine. Even at the end, I couldn't understand why Dani drowned herself in the lake. They could have at least left the lesbian couple alone, as if her ex-fiance dying and the other couple dying wasn't bad enough. Needlessly tragic, perplexing. I also didn't understand why Dani, a promising babysitter, total stranger with no real connection to any of these characters, needed to die at Bly manor. The two kids Miles and Flora, I couldn't understand when they were really them and when they weren't. Can't believe this has so many glowing reviews.
