My advice, read the book without any presumptions of a tale of undying love or Achilles' famous heel or of how the book is sure to make you weep. I think the hype kind of ruined it for me. I was ready to cry and while I did feel extreme emotions all through out the novel and did tear up a little, I did not bawl my eyes out.
You'll get attached to the characters, you'll love the protagonists, you'll hate the antagonists, but you'll also always kind of see why the villians are acting the way they are. You'll feel a lot of things while reading this novel, especially towards the end. I'd recommend reading this to anyone, but as I mentioned before, expecting a huge climax sort of dulls the emotions when it actually happens.
