I have read nearly everything from Stephen King. I wish he would move on from the Holly stories, the first few were great, but since the Outsider, they have been lacking. I was willing to give this one a chance, though the story was slow and lacking. Stephen King continues push his political frustrations with every new piece of work (liberals good, conservatives bad), at the expense of quality writing. Politics have always been in his stories, but at least the stories were good. Religion has also always been an element in his stories, including religious zealots (Carrie), but now he only leverages it to bash the religious. We have enough politics in our media and I don’t want to spend hours diving into a novel about it, especially when all one way. We get it….he is upset about the elections, but please write a good book again. The Stephen King of the 70’-90’s no longer exists. I will just need to find a newer author that reminds me of his older stuff.
