I applaud firefighters for what they do. They are in the same league as our military with regard to running into harms way while saving/protecting others. It seems quite odd the frequency they randomly leave the firehouse using City equipment for errands or check on things. Surely, that can’t be the norm. It was disappointing seeing Otis and Shay written off. They added a unique characterization to a difficult job. I would’ve like to see Casey and Dawson written off much earlier. Both had odd personalities. Strange to have written them in that manner. Disliked both of them. Stopped watching for a period of time while they were on. Lastly, the occasional disregard of instructions given by superiors would be alarming to me. That cannot be acceptable in high stress situations. Overall, Mr Wolf has generally very good shows. My opinion, Wolf has fallen short on this one.

The show itself has merit. Where it falls short is with its host, Chuck Todd. Sure change is needed. I have stopped watching due to him and look forward to Ms Welker taking the reigns. She posses the appropriate skill, demeanor and is simply more likeable then Todd.
