I hate to say it, but the only car in Rust to Riches that truly stand out is the 1955 Futura. Starting from season two, the designs have become shockingly unattractive, with poor color choices and uninspired styling that seems rushed and repetitive. The quality has gone downhill fast; some of the cars show shoddy craftsmanship, low-quality paint jobs, and design choices that actually make the cars look even uglier than before. It’s easy to see why some customers are left disappointed, especially considering the outrageous prices they’re asked to pay for these poorly executed builds. Mark Towle’s work has become a letdown season after season, with each new design feeling like a cheap imitation of true custom craftsmanship. For a show that’s supposed to turn rust into riches, these cars look more like rusted messes.
