An exploitation of an elderly woman, the author.
Lee had a story to tell. And she did so remarkably in To Kill A Mockingbird.
She rejected this earlier attempt to define the characters, and the storyline. She was right to do so. Her final product should rank in the top five of American literature.
This book is neither a prequel or sequel.
