It's a mediocre program. If you are out of ideas of what to watch, view it. The many tragedies the cast experience in their stories can be daunting. What I find interesting are the many bad reviews based on the experience of people of color in the series. I am a black person and the whites who are demeaning in these stories are real. Having lived and worked in white spaces I have had very similar racist experiences. If you as white people have not had those experiences, don't view the program. This is a series produced by a black woman. I am sure it is not meant to harm, but to educate those who aren't historically mistreated. Since the inception of this country non-whites have been marginalized and mistreated. Those are the facts of this country.
