Just went and saw the FNAF movie today, and I just wanna say how proud I am of Scott Cawthon for making such a good movie that was based off the first FNAF game. I've been into the whole game franchise and fandom of FNAF since the first came out back in 2014. It's honestly so fulfilling watching a movie based on one of your favorite indie horror games that really shaped your childhood. I've waited 10 years for this movie to come out and I am beyond please about it. The movie was laid out well, we got to know a little more about Mike Schmidt and his family and we even got to know some new things about William Afton (purple guy) and his family. A lot of questions were answered lore wise and a lot of new questions were asked as well, especially when it came to the character of Vanessa and how she's connected to William Afton. My friend and I were trying to piece together on how Vanessa and William were related, how Vanessa was related to Williams daughter, Elizabeth (who's mentioned in Sister Location), and how she fits in with the first movie, since Vanessa is introduced to us in the beginning of Security Breach. Of course, Scott Cawthon never puts in a random mystery or new information for no reason.
In the end, my childhood has been fulfilled and I'm so happy with how the movie turned out. I hope all of the original fans that have been here on this crazy FNAF journey since 2014 also get to enjoy the movie as much as I did. Thank you Scott Cawthon for making your amazing gaming series and this awesome movie. I can't wait to see what's going to happen next.
