The X-Men: Days of Future Past is definitely one that stands out to me and is easily one of my favourite movies. It takes place in 2023, sentinel robots are hunting down all of the mutants and killing them, and as a last ditch effort to save the mutants Wolverine is sent back in time to 1973 to prevent it all from happening with the help of a young Charles Xavier, relying on a drug to help him walk–with the cost of his powers–Hank ‘beast,’ and most prominently, Magneto a mutant with the ability to manipulate all forms of metal.
The special effects in this movie are absolutely amazing, impressive visuals and seamless CGI. The film’s score/music is equally as impressive, with a soundtrack that complements the on-screen action.
A huge standpoint for this movie was its strong ability to balance multiple storylines and characters. The movie successfully weaves together the present and past timelines, creating a compelling narrative that explores the consequences of Magneto’s actions of the past.
In conclusion, X-Men Days of Future Past is a must-see for fans of the X-Men franchise and superhero movies in general. It’s a fast paced action packed movie and I would definitely recommend it to those who want to enjoy the same feeling of reading one of the comics, it definitely delivers. No part of the movie leaves you bored out of your mind, constantly something exciting going on keeping you on the edge of your seat, making it a thrilling ride from start to finish. If I could give it more than 5 stars, I definitely would!
