This is a perfect little TV series. Beautiful, gentle, funny, heartwarming, and it gets bonus points if you’re a history buff. The characters and relationships are believable and lovable and you root for every single one of them. The writing is perfect, beginning to end, and it only gets better with every watch. I’m on my 3rd rewatch. The 2022 special is one of the best finales of all time. Mackenzie Crook is creator, writer, director, and co-star, and his love for the show really comes through. His chemistry with Toby Jones is like nothing that has ever been on television. 10/10. All the way.
