If you ignore the racist, bigoted, and sexist comments at the beginning of the movie from the main character, and the fact that there is never any character development regarding this, you're still left with a slew of problems. If you can manage to look past the technical errors (ranging from badly matched dubbed audio to horrible post production effects), poorly written dialogue, the movie depicting diabetes in that of a drug-addicted junkie, and sofia carson's hair always being tucked inside of her shirt, then you might be able to enjoy the cliche love story. And don't forget how they portray military members to be extremely racist and sexist. Or just how they disrespect the military with such polarizing bigotry in general. The most memorable scene out of this is when the dad is looking at his son with a shattered leg in the hospital.. and is more concerned about the son not keeping him updated with his life.
