****SPOILERS****
I'm giving it a higher score than I originally intended because of some of the cool fan service. Overall, though, the story has gaping holes and is extremely rushed. Oliver's initial death was handled poorly and Specter's appearance was hilariously rushed (why was he stalking around in the bushes instead of just teleporting in!? LOL).
Where is Psycho Pirate?
And my only gripe about 90s Flash dying was that it was so completely unnecessary - they could have made a Time Remnant like Zoom taught them to do in S2 and THAT Speed Force creation could have sacrificed himself instead of either of the ACTUAL Flashes, haha.
Pros:
The farewell to 90s Flash was amazing
Reeve/Routh Superman becoming Kingdom Come Supes was an amazing thought and Routh pulls it off so well!
Kevin Conroy getting to play live-action Bruce Wayne
Every scene Heat Wave is in
Wentworth Miller finding a way to return even though his schedule was booked was fantastic
Showing that clip of Titans, along with the other cameos, was awesome
The fact they actually tried to get Nic Cage to appear as Superman Lives
Meh Stuff:
Tom Welling officially closing the door on him ever becoming Superman in the most Tom Welling way imaginable - I was expecting he would cause his "Superman" to sacrifice himself (with no suit on) like 90s Flash, but this was SO MUCH MORE IN LINE WITH TOM WELLING that I could only laugh
Pariah - seems like they're using him more for the tie-in comics than the show
Cisco getting his powers back would have been cooler if they hadn't spoiled it in the first episode of Flash this season during Barry's Speed Force vision
Acting as if this Crisis has any real stakes (Titans, Lucifer, Black Lightning... yeah, those shows weren't cancelled so we know everything will be undone)
The line about the Legends not being involved in another crossover was actually hilarious from a meta-perspective, but in-story it doesn't make a lot of sense
Cons:
Everything is so rushed
No explanation as to how Anti-Monitor is controlling Lyla/Harbinger and no one in the show questioning it being possible
We won't be seeing Zari in the crossover :(
I would have preferred slightly more time in discussing that perhaps Smallville Lex is no longer a villain and that is why Clark feels okay letting THE COUNTRY BE RUN BY HIM, haha (i.e. "Heh... so you're still a villain in your world? My Lex redeemed himself and is actually a pretty good guy... you could learn something from him")
How in the world does Supergirl Lex not see that nearly EVERY Superman is a Clark Kent? And if he for some reason only saw that Smallville Clark was Superman, how did he not find it weird that Kingdom Come Superman happened to be in Clark Kent's office at the Daily Planet? And he doesn't find it weird that HIS Superman just so happened to survive with HIS Lois, who is Clark Kent's wife? And he has a book that can tell him his Superman's identity and he hasn't yet... why? Huh? I completely get the whole "suspension of disbelief" thing, but I feel like they've crossed the line/didn't give Lex's storyline any thought in this crossover.
They hyped up Psycho Pirate being part of the Crisis like in the comics, but he is nowhere to be found.
Anyway, I'm not a fan of this crossover. Very, very disappointing. The only reason I'm giving it the amount of stars I have is because of the fun cameos.
