I’ve been to the Galapagos. There were no mosquitoes there, and the crabs and salt water iguanas don’t come after you. It is a fascinating place with many virtually tame animals (blue and red footed boobies!) and tortoises well over 100 years old. Amazingly, it lies on the Equator but there are penguins. Fantastic place—Darwin’s lab—but islands can drive people mad. Check out Fletcher Christian, Bounty crew, and Pitcairn Island for reference.
