Really disappointed with the bush fire segment , saying that they cant fight fires like that ,. there was no preparation, for what they was told was coming by all the experts The Government is now on the back foot trying to find excuses for their inaction It seems to me even the experts are not clear on how to proceed ? they just know its going to get worse! It seems to me we are still fighting fires like we are in the Darkages , we are in the 21 century now. It was upsetting to see them all bickering around that table if that is allowed to continue so will the Death and Mayhem continue. I was surprised not one so called fire fighting expert mentioned SEEDING CLOUDS the technology has been around from the 1940's and other countries are routinely using this method to not only fight fires but also to increase an areas rainfall for agriculture and water run off India, Indonesia , America to name a few ! The technology uses Dry Ice Salt And Sliver iodide with varying success Obviously the rain bearing clouds have to be present over the fire area but this seeding process increases the likely hood of rain falling and increases the rain fall normally received all Positive factors when fighting an out of control Fire! In the after math of these fire ravaged areas now is the time to build and ultimately maintain proper fire breaks and tracks which will be invaluable when fire returns to these overgrown bush areas in the future! Even Having large concrete tanks filled with water in the bush there for when the need arises this way trucks don't have to cart water to site Because it is a case of NOT IF BUT WHEN another fire strikes. We can't be complacent when it comes to fire we need to build towers or satellite track areas to monitor fire outbreaks and get on top of them faster in the bush! We could lead the world in this area not be left to pick up the pieces each time Fire strikes!
