Duane Chambers

I was overwhelmed and frankly surprised by the emotions Oppenheimer made me feel. Pride and sadness for a man and his country, he and we were in a no win situation. Brilliant performances all around with Murphy and Downey Jr. standouts. I left the movie with many questions, a yearning to learn more and that I think is a good thing. My father was part of the Manhattan Project and amoung the witnesses to subsequent testings of nuclear weapons in Nevada. I had a vested interest and still live near one of the Project sites. Nolan gave us a brilliant film on the the subject.
