I bought this light weight folding scooter In September 2022. I was told it was light enough for me to lift , I did not try it as I was waiting on an operation. Few months later my daughter took the scooter out of the boot and said there where screws in the boot, I got in touch with monarch who came out and replaced the screws and tightened the rest. Following August I had to ring again as the screws had come loose and it did not open when I used key fob also an high pitched bleep and yes I checked the manual leaver incase it had been turned off. I have not used the scooter as I had hoped as I can’t get it out due to weight. I have charged my batters yes I bought 2 incase I got court while using it lol, it has not been used this year until, This coming week end 10/5/24 so I checked the batters to see if they need charging, on checking my scooter started making a high pitched bleep, and would not open, I check the red leaver no that was ok but my scooter still would not open so I did it manually but the the bleep continued I turned off the scooter then turned it back on the bleeped continued then turned it off for longer, finally it stayed off. It took me a long time to choose the scooter and I feel as it has not been used as much as it would have it has had a lot gone wrong. Now at the start of May I phoned up and I was told it is £95 call out fee, if it had been fixed in the first place it should not need a call out fee. As I’m a pensioner it’s a lot of money to spend. I also took out the insurance which I was for 5 years only to be told it’s for one year and the insurance was not for maintenance but incase I hit some one!!!! Very disappointed
