At first I was engaged, the 2/3s of the book was nice. It was gripping and moved at a good pace. The character dynamics were pretty entertaining. HOWEVER once you start getting into the third act and more information gets revealed as to what’s actually going on, you realize that there are no satisfactory answers to questions you might have had. There are random reveals that come out of nowhere with no foreshadowing. There are plot threads left unresolved. And there is an irrelevant chapter-long backstory, which while being admittedly heartfelt, literally provided nothing necessary to the story.
