I had insanely high hopes for this one, but ultimately everything fell flat for me. It's as many others have pointed out, basically just Thor: Ragnarok, but MORE. This may initially sound like a great trait for the film to have, seeing as Ragnarok was the better of the previous 3 Thor films, but for me personally, I thought they focused on all the wrong elements of Ragnarok to turn up to 11.
Humour - way to much, to the point where you start wondering if the film would ever even attempt to take itself seriously at some point.
Action - probably fine, but it felt lacking, most likely due to the stretched out sections of down time in between set pieces.
Villain - Christian Bale seemed to act circles around the entire cast whenever he was on screen (Which honestly did not feel like all that long)
And finally, act 3 as it might be called, just completely lost me. They just ended up where they needed to be immediately, the fights were short and boring, and the conclusion was just... not earned in my opinion. It really breaks my heart as Thor has been my favourite MCU character since his debut in 2011, and this is just not where his story should have headed.
