if you want an honest review on this game, i’ve got quite literally the exact review for that. The campaign is a simple, basically an easy tutorial at the start of the game. It doesn’t have a story other then a couple of corny jokes and a way to brand some dinos. Realistically, the campaign is actually chaos theory but i’ll get into that in a second. For the campaign, it’s not worth the money, but it’s definitely an easy way to start your jurassic world and it runs you through the “basics” of the game, like hatchery’s and if you didn’t play JWE1, other aspects of the game that you need to learn to understand, but if you haven’t played it before i strongly recommend searching up how to get a good park before you get into it, because it can be rough. 6/10 for the campaign. However, Chaos Theory or the “real campaign” to the game, is a serious of challenges that are basically from the movies. Its an incredible idea but definitely could have more work put into it : however it’s truly the best bit behind sandbox and it is what makes me give the game 4 stars. It is basically the “what if” of JW, like what if the virus was never installed into the hardware in JP1, and you build a 5 star park on the island that was in the first movie! It’s incredible, with the attention to detail and small references like the park tour and some decorations you can use. A solid 9/10 for CT, as it’s a good addition to the game and makes it a solid entry. Sandbox however is a bit “mid” in some cases. Of course a fully customisable map has all sorts of different possibilities you can make, like trying to make the isla nublar park, but of course the reason why it’s “mid” is because you need to unlock the maps, which of course makes you play that little bit extra so you can do so, which is annoying for us. Overall though, the possibilities in sandbox are endless, so i will have to give it a good 7/10. For other aspects of the game, like challenges, they’re good but they aren’t nearly as good ad the chaos theory one’s. Challenges are good for good players, but they’re very anti-new person and you need to know more about 5 star parks to do challenges. That’s why i’ve given it the lowest rating of a 5/10. Finally, the game itself. The games built with good graphics and new, updated animations, For me it ran smoothly, but when opening your map after developing your park a lot i would experience frame drops, but obviously from all the updates. The addition of things like scientists gives a new look into JWE : and gives it a new kinda feeling to it. Overall, the game i would give is a 8/10, hence the 4 stars. Overall, the games good enough to definitely take hours upon hours out of your time, but i wouldn’t recommend it if you aren’t a fan of JW, as you need to understand the movies to have fun in it.
PS, the addition of lagoons and aviation buildings are insane, i seriously recommend them. Good game, good idea, mid developing team.
