I saw 28 Years Later in the cinema last night and it completely pulled me in. The concept was brilliant — instead of the usual survivor story, we got to see things from the perspective of the people hunting zombies, which gave the whole film a fresh, tactical edge. It felt different, more strategic, and really engaging.
There was a lot of gore — and yes, the blood splatter was totally over the top, but in a way that worked for the chaotic, high-stakes world they created. What stood out even more was the variation in gore — it wasn’t just the same old zombie bites. There were new, unexpected and creative moments that made it feel freshly disturbing. Definitely not for the faint-hearted, but for horror lovers, it hit the spot.
You could tell there was so much time, planning, and care poured into this film — from the visuals to the pacing to the sound design. The actors were incredible across the board — totally believable and emotionally intense without being overdone. The storyline was solid, with moments of suspense, some surprisingly funny bits, and a few scenes that genuinely had me jumping in my seat.
