Overall, this felt like a cheap, poorly constructed time waster. As several others have said, this movie felt disconnected with the multiple leaps backward and forward in the timeline, there was too much focus on The Dating Game despite it being a minor piece of the true events, and they took too much liberty with the actual events they actually bothered to include. I wish they had ended with a bit of Alcala's trial and conviction instead of just scrolling some text on the screen about it at the end. One side thought...I was a teen when these events occurred, and I don't remember TV host Jim Lange being creepy like the Ed character who replaced him in the movie. I may have to watch some reruns to see if I just hadn't noticed.
