I'll start by saying I love the "Killing" series. However, having read multiple books on the Salem Witch Trials I found this one disappointing. Only a little over 100 pages of the 261 page story is about the witch trials. The remaining focus on Colonial history and the development of the movie, The Exorcist. I almost felt the title was a little of a bait and switch. If a transition into more modern times was desired, I believe the story of Boston's Margery, the witch of Limestreet would have been more appropriate.
