The movie really puts a switch on the hero loses, villain wins ending.
The story may seem like a good person just not knowing how to do anything right, while the problem still remains. Not being able to have a victorious character arch, leaving us hanging with her story of internal problems unsolved, while everyone else is fine with it. Seems kind of like an incredibly relatable problem for some of us who have adhd and are forced to endure a painful problem until time and effort fixes it. While we try to put out the fire with whatever idea pops up in our heads. Only to fail miserably in a natural way, but unfortunately the punches only get worse until our protagonist is finally dead. A sad ending for such a rather more relatable fictional character.
It was really scary watching a simulation of a character I honestly feel extremely similar to, just get absolutely eviscerated. It seemed, like a threat to peope like me, as if we're about to become instinct. The team who made this movie possible seem proffesional. Every sound and effect made it seem like Hollywood is finally becoming more visceral. Which all of this made my experience more terrible than intense or extreme. I honestly wanted therapy and my money and time back. Honestly felt like an audience like me should have been warned first before watching something like this. Which giving me the freedom to watch a dangerous movie like this seems like a cinema sin.
It also may seem like just a movie you can turn your brain off, not having any interest in the story, and just enjoy the noise.
And as an aspiring writer myself, id say this movie was a messy and twisty labyrinth of isnpiration. Not sure if this movie uninspired me or inspired me. Usually when im confused about something, i take it as a threat. Not sure what the point of this movie was or its intentions, but its an okay movie
