I enjoyed it as a Tarantino mystery far more than as a horror. First watching, was disappointed it wasn't the terrifying experience I'd been promised. Second time, I thought it really well crafted, even though not living up to expectations as a fright-fest. I was however glad of a fresh look. Will watch again and again [as I've bought it on Prime!] and will probably see something new each time. Recommended.

Blimey, how overrated. Not even the overcooked soundtrack can cover up this overblown bore. A MacGuffin with no purpose except everybody wants it. We don't know why they want it, WHO wants it [Russians? big deal], or even what it's for. An empty romance. An odd track shot of fish! A disappearing character that demanded closure in the final act. We don't even know why he was blown. Disjointed camerawork that frequently bumps you out of the picture. Noisy, yet hey ho, action set pieces. Ridiculous car chases that don't kill a soul. Poor acting even from De Niro [when he has a bullet taken out. I was so uninterested, I skipped the scene. Then he runs around as if it's a year later and he's fully recovered.] And unbelievable convenience to continue the chase [bags turning up to stimulate thought and a poster of Russian ballet right where they're standing! Give me strength.] I kept watching because of the cast. But if it had been anyone else, I'd have switched off halfway. And there's a pointless introduction to the tale of the 47 Ronin. What that's got to do with the film is a mystery. Are the leads Ronin? Why? They're hired guns. What's the title got to do with anything? A curate's egg if ever there was one.

This film's so boring, I looked for a yawn emoji to tell my friends while watching it. Minute 52, crew are sitting around drinking tea. No sense of urgency at all. Recommend reading the novelette by John W. Campbell, Who Goes There? Bit of a weird format, mostly told in dialogue. But you won't regret it. Definitely watch John Carpenter's The Thing and most definitely watch, what I think is the best of the lot, The Thing 2011. Terribly underrated. But, jeez Louise, what a boring original.

A pinnacle in story telling. Boundless imagination. Tangible peril. Adorable characters. Fearful villains. The joy never lets up from start to finish. Sometimes comical, sometimes epic, always brilliant. Do yourself a favour, buy the box set and treat yourself to the most fun you'll ever have in a marathon. The love will stay with you forever. If only movies were this good.

A movie that ticks every box for old style Whovians [and probably Trekkies too]. Good characters, great REAL special effects [spaceships, set pieces, robots], nice doses of humour and banter, intriguing mystery and a terrific finale that leaves audiences [at least those who watched it in cinemas 1979] gasping. One of my all-time favourites and certainly my favourite Disney movie [not many of them!] Always enjoy a re-watch. Never fails to entertain, dazzle and thrill. Does NOT include: messages, DEI, Wokeism, click baiting, girl bosses and anything associated with the crud we're expected to lap up these days. If you love good, old fashioned story telling with a great soundtrack by John Barry, brilliant pacing, gorgeous shots in every frame and a wicked villain or two, then this is a treat for you.

Blimey, what to say? Wicker Man on acid. A cross between WM, Hotel and Hereditary. Will boil your brains, but in a nice way [urk] if you can handle the violence, the graphic horror, the weirdest sex scene you'll ever see, and the mind melting finale. Brilliantly made. Fantastic hallucinogenic trip made beautiful and spellbinding. Could not take my eyes off the screen once it had cast its spell. Not for the faint hearted. For everyone else, watch it without distraction.

Second time viewing, this time with elderly Mum and Dad! Loved it. Had same lump in throat at finale. The Craig Bond Era has not disappointed. Would recommend it to anyone remotely interested in the IP. It has laughs, twists, shocks. Does not feel overlong even second time round. Mr Craig deserves his Hollywood Star. The man must be floating. And box office is going strong, which will be a weight off his executive producer shoulders! Aces, 007. Not the woke disaster some Youtube channellers feared.

Just seen [three times in a row, middle time with director's commentary] in 4K by director of The Wanderers and The Right Stuff. I love it. It's brilliant. Scary and authentic with a beautifully odd soundtrack. Great cast and editing. A brief cameo by Robert Duval who according to Kaufman is the first to be converted, bizarrely dressed as a priest. One of my fave films. Highly recommend watching it late at night on your own.

Very enjoyable. Surprising to me. Gaining a newfound respect for Charles Bronson films. Mind you, Death Wish 2 is not a good start. Heartbreak Ridge and this are worthy watches. As is Death Wish.

One of the best tv sitcoms. An excellent investment in a complete box set. Highly recommended. Can't see it dating at all.
