I was moved to tears so many times. I listened to the audiobook which was narrated by the author. For me, It was a deeply emotional story and also a cultural learning experience. It was so well written and the author's accent and pronunciation lent itself to the feeling of authenticity. While you know this was not a true story, it could have been....."a thousand times over".
